Prices

Prices depend on the number booking in each party as shown below. As booking in larger parties saves our marketing costs, it is only fair we pass these savings on to you. Prices shown include virtually everything you need (see "What's Included" below) for the two week adventure, except flights to Kathmandu from where we start. As a guide, flights from London can be as low as £390, and are usually around £500. You can either book your flights through our partner agency who book for the group, or separately. If separately, you will have to inform us of your flight details so we can meet you at the airport. We limit our group sizes to eight in order that the cultural experience with the local people remains intimate.

It is both safe and common for our visitors to travel alone and we specifically do not apply a single person surcharge. You will find yourself among a small group of like-minded people. We have two single rooms in the mountains, but if taken room sharing may be necessary.

Step-by-step booking procedure

As this is a unique and alternative adventure, we encourage potential visitors to gather as much information as possible before deciding. We aim to be as transparent as possible about the experience. This includes providing the information on this Web site, providing knowledgeable representatives to answer any questions and help to structure the itinerary, and perhaps most importantly we share the names of previous visitors so you can talk independently. We also periodically hold information sessions which provide an overview of the experience, a video and an opportunity to ask questions face to face. For dates and venues, watch our home page. Our video brings the experience to life. For a free copy, please call us on +44 (0)20 7449 9530.

While we encourage you to learn as much as possible about us, we will also be interested to learn about you. Due to the development objectives of Dolma, we view our customers as partners in helping to strengthen and maintain this beautiful, unique culture while improving standards of living. Therefore, we will be interested in your reasons for contemplating such a trip and any ideas or skills you have that could further these objectives. Knowing you a little better in advance ultimately allows us to better match the experience to our customers' requirements.

Jangsem goes for heart operation. Health project begins.

Jangsem is an 8 year-old girl from Bridim. She suffers from a complex heart defect, present from birth, and had just months to live. Dr. Sean Keogh and Dr. Christine Bradshaw, two doctors who were invited by Dolma to Nepal in February ’04, examined her and immediately realised that her clinical situation was serious. Following the coordinated efforts of the Dolma Development Fund (DDF) and of Sean and Christine, Jangsem has now undergone heart surgery at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Hospital in Kathmandu. The operation was a success and she is currently recovering.
